Review platforms by recensio
The Bayerische Staatsbibliothek operates two review platforms with reviews of new publications in the field of history.
- recensio.net is dedicated to European history on a national and supranational level. The platform has been online since January 2011 and can be used in the three navigation languages German, English and French.
- recensio.regio is dedicated to German-language national and regional history. The platform has been online since February 2018. German and English are offered as navigation languages.
On both platforms, interested parties can find relevant book reviews online, read them free of charge and freely accessible and download them as PDF files. The reviews come from specialist journals that make their review sections available in full text as part of a cooperation with recensio.net or recensio.regio.
Users can select individual journals on recensio.net or recensio.regio and read their reviews. In addition, it is possible to filter all reviews available on the platform with the help of comprehensive topic browsing so that only titles that correspond to a specific research interest are displayed. Reviews of publications can also be found by searching for authors, titles or other metadata.
Both platforms can be searched together by clicking in the advanced search.
